Liposuction
In liposuction, fat is suctioned from different areas and in different quantities to achieve the desired point according to the areas that need sculpting. Some patients wish to increase volume in certain areas, and in these cases, part of the extracted fat can be injected into other places to achieve that volume and shape the figure according to the patient’s expectations. This procedure is known as Liposculpture. It is important to clarify that liposuction and liposculpture are two different procedures that can be complementary.
In the vast majority of cases, liposuction is performed under general anesthesia. Local anesthesia is recommended only for small, localized procedures; touch-ups that last no more than 40 minutes, in which the patient can tolerate the intervention consciously and without discomfort.
